When I was 11 years old, my English teacher explained what it meant to be a Christian. I said that I believed, and I soon walked down the aisle of my church and was baptized.
I had been reconciled with God – I was right with Him in Christ – but it wasn’t until years later, when I was a freshman at the University of Alabama, that formation began. It wasn’t until God displayed Himself to me in a personal, dramatic way that I fell down on my knees before Him and said, “Lord, I give You all that I am and all that I’ll ever be.”
Before, it was all about me – what I desired and wanted. But when formation began, it was about not conforming to the world, but conforming to Christ.
Your gifts to The Winning Walk are helping to encourage others along their own formational journeys.
But it isn’t always easy. That’s why I share what it takes to win in the Christian life in my new CD series, Game Changers: Five Keys to Winning at Life. I pray that its messages encourage your life formation as you strive to be conformed to Christ.
His and yours,
Dr. Ed Young
