Remember the story of Peter getting out of the boat in the storm and walking to Jesus? He was doing fine – until doubt took over.

We read in Matthew 14:30-33…

“Seeing the wind, [Peter] became frightened, and beginning to sink, he cried out, ‘Lord, save me!’ Immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and took hold of him, and said to him, ‘You of little faith, why did you doubt?’ When they got into the boat, the wind stopped. And those who were in the boat worshiped Him, saying, ‘You are certainly God’s Son!’”

The issue wasn’t that Peter doubted. It’s that he allowed doubt to take over and control his actions. When storms hit in our lives, we often respond the same way.

But there’s always the outstretched hand of Jesus. And if you let Him, Jesus will pull you on board with Him, calm the storm, and give you a better understanding of who He really is. He’ll push through your doubt to bring you closer to himself than ever before.

I want to share more about moving through times of fear and doubt by sending you my son Ben’s book Room for Doubt and a CD copy of my message on doubt – both of which are my thanks for your gift today.

Thank you for your ongoing support that is helping others grow in faith through weekly broadcast of The Winning Walk.

My prayer is that these resources will do the same for you – and that when doubts fill your mind, you will seek the always outstretched hand of Jesus.
