Being a parent brings many joys, but also heartache.
Through my years of parenting, one of the most painful experiences (repeated many times over) was the way my relationship with my kids revealed my own sinful heart.
If you feel that way today, don’t despair! Because what I’ve also learned over the years is that God uses imperfect people like you and me to accomplish His purposes. He offers you abounding grace even in your weakness – and your job is simply to let His love and grace overflow to your kids.
Be encouraged by what He tells us in 2 Corinthians 4:7...
“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves.”
I pray that you’ll know the “surpassing greatness” of God’s power as you live out the proven truth of His Word—not just in parenting, but in every aspect of your life.
