"For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son…" - ROMANS 8:29
Alexander Hamilton, among America’s founders, was born on a Caribbean island, illegitimate and in poverty. In youth, he became a protégé and top aide to George Washington, who shaped him into greatness, sometimes midst the anguish and dangers of the Revolutionary War. The grand purpose toward which God is shaping His covenant child is Christ-likeness. We are born outside the Kingdom of God, in spiritual destitution, but God promises to form us into the very image and character of the spotless Son of God. His promise is that everything that happens to His child is aimed at that great purpose.
