An unlikely person

May 28, 2019
"And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He exists and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him." - HEBREWS 11:6

Most of us have heard about Joshua and the battle of Jericho when the “walls came tumbling down.” But let’s not miss the account of an ordinary citizen of Jericho that God used to do something extraordinary.

Rahab, a harlot, risked her life to hide two Israelites who had come to spy out the city. Hearing of God’s work in and through His people had led her to believe that the God of Israel is the one true God. Because of her “risking faith,” she and her family did not perish in Jericho. In fact, Rahab became part of the royal lineage of Christ!

Do you sometimes feel like an unlikely, ordinary person that God would never use? Then remember Rahab! God can and wants to use you to do extraordinary things for Him.
