Lost and found

How do sheep get lost, do they just run away? Hardly. They nibble here and there, notice that the grass appears greener around the next corner, and wander off. They don’t pay attention, so they get lost through carelessness. That’s how we get lost too, isn’t it? Through carelessness, or through gradualism. It doesn’t take a crisis, we just kind of wander away until we realize we no longer know the way home. How thankful we can be that Jesus is our Shepherd, and He not only keeps us safe, He gave His very life for us.
