No necktie, no service

September 30, 2019
"And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son." - JOHN 14:13

A man lost in the desert spotted an approaching traveler. “Please,” he begged, “give me some water.” The traveler replied, “I don’t have any water, but I will give you my necktie.” “What? I don’t need a necktie, I need water!” So the thirsty man staggered away. He soon came upon a restaurant and entered. “Finally,” he thought, “I will get water!” However, the maître d’ stopped him. “Sorry sir, but we can’t let you in without a necktie.” Sometimes we don’t believe our prayers have been answered, when actually we have rejected God’s true answer.

God loves us so much, He gives us exactly what we need, not what we may want at that moment. So if you’re ever in the desert and a man offers you a necktie, take it, and say, “Thank you!” It just may be God’s answer to your prayer.
