"For He has satisfied the thirsty soul, and the hungry soul He has filled with what is good."Psalms 107:9
Years ago, a story in the Boston Globe reported on one of the most dramatic wedding banquets ever. A couple had planned an elaborate banquet for their wedding reception, but two weeks before the wedding the groom broke their engagement. The bride decided to proceed with the banquet anyway, and she invited all the homeless in Boston to attend. For one evening, they were treated to a tremendous time of feasting and celebration.
When we go to God’s great banquet of grace, we will not be there because we have merited our presence or paid for it.
It was paid for because of the sacrifice of another. And the difference, for us, is that the party will go on and on – forever.
