The Family Business

When Jesus was asked to identify the greatest commandment, he replied, “Love the Lord Thy God…and love thy neighbor as thyself.” Jesus was declaring that this summarizes the Ten Commandments. Love God with everything covers the first four commandments, and “love your neighbor” covers the last six. But did you know there are actually eleven commandments? Jesus gave His disciples a new commandment, to “love one another as I have loved you.” That is love in action.

There are 35 “one another” instructions in Scripture. Love one another, be devoted to one another, rejoice with one another, live in harmony with one another, be kind to one another, forgive one another…and that’s just a few of them. Love in action. When we are “in Christ,” we become part of the “one another” business.  So let me ask you, “How’s business?”
