The Rush Is Real

"And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger. Now when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this Child. And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds."Luke 2:16-18
There’s a legend in which Satan was worried about Christmas. He knew he had to counteract the power of the Baby in the manger, because too many people were beginning to believe. So he came up with his strategy and declared, “I’ll invent something called the Christmas rush!” Although the story’s a legend, the “rush is real!” As a result, Christmas has become routine for far too many of us.
How do we crush the rush? We go back to the little town of Bethlehem to contemplate the miracle and the truth of Christmas. God stepped out of Heaven into human history with the indescribable, unspeakable gift of His only Son, who would grow up from the Babe of Bethlehem to become the Lamb of God. So let’s shake off the routine of Christmas and focus our hearts on Jesus, for He is the very heart of God revealed.
