A Good Practice

"Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me."John 14:1
My dog, Winston, is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, which is a breed designed to be lapdogs of royalty. Somehow, I think he knows that, too! But to quote E. Stanley Jones, “We are not God’s cosmic pets.” When we receive Christ, God doesn’t place us in a posh world free from troubles. Instead, Jesus promises us something better.
In the midst of trouble, our spiritual heart can be “untroubled!” In our passage, Jesus says that when we believe in God, we believe in Him. And when we believe in Him, we believe in God. As Christians, we are therefore in a zone where even our troubles become elements of His blessings in our lives.
So let me ask: Is your heart troubled? If so, believe Jesus will use your hardship to build a blessing just for you.
