Why We Suffer

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28
When we go through hard times, it's natural to ask why, but God does not always answer that question. Even in these times, we can be confident that he is at work for good in our lives. God does allow us to suffer to cause us to grow.
I would rather be around someone who's endured hard times than someone who has lived a life of ease. There is a depth in the life of people who suffer well with the Lord.
So if you are in the midst of a storm, take comfort in knowing that God is transforming you into the person he created you to become.
