A Good Practice

"Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD? And who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood and has not sworn deceitfully. He shall receive a blessing from the LORD and righteousness from the God of his salvation." - PSALM 24:3-5
Way up there on Zion was the Ark of God, blazing with searing glory, and way down there in the valley stood David with murderous hands and adulterous heart. But the only people qualified to approach God are those with unpolluted outward behavior and pristine motives and thoughts. By such standards, we are unqualified to climb that windy hill. Many believe to get qualified for the climb we must start doing. The truth is we must start being. When our being is in Christ, His blood penetrates to the deepest, darkest cavern of our soul and purifies it. He has gone behind the veil, and, in Him, we can go too.
