Glued to disobedience

When the king of Egypt was told that the people had fled, Pharaoh and his servants had a change of heart toward the people, and they said, "What is this we have done, that we have let Israel go from serving us?" - EXODUS 14:5
A guy was piecing some furniture back together, and the superglue oozed onto his fingers. Before he knew it, he couldn’t get them apart! Each time Egypt’s ruler changed his mind, his heart became a little more glued to disobedience. Ultimately, he wouldn’t be able to get loose from it, and he and his whole army were swamped in the crashing close of the Red Sea.
The “change of heart” from disobedience to God, is a change for good. The “change of heart” that stiffens our resistance and glues us to our rebellion is deadly. The glue gets on your heart like it does your fingers—with a slow ooze. Each act of disobedience makes obedience harder.
Having the liberty to wiggle your fingers is normal. So is obedience to God. This is a paradox: Our freedom is in our “enslavement” to God. You’re going to be “glued” to something inevitably, so glue your heart to God!

You “glue” your heart to God by adhering to Him daily, both in your personal communion and choices you make in the face of temptation.
