A Good Practice

"I can do all things through Him who strengthens me." - PHILIPPIANS 4:13
People in covenant with Jesus Christ lose the word “can’t”—in its ultimate sense—from their vocabulary. Paul said, “I can do all things” through Christ’s strength. What do “all things” include? Beatings, stonings, shipwreck, tough journeys, raging rivers, vicious thieves, betrayal by one’s own, threats from opponents, urban violence, scary jungles, roaring oceans, scammers, sleepless nights, hunger, thirst, bitter weather. If “all things” referred to boggling miracles or leaping tall buildings, I would have a hard time relating. The promises of Christ’s strength have to do with the everyday stuff. That’s where we need His strength the most.
