His Faithfulness

"The LORD'S lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. - LAMENTATIONS 3:22-23"
Weary Solomon, depleted and bored, looked at the sunrise and thought, ho-hum, meaningless, same-old-same-old. Jeremiah, who remained faithful to the One above the sun, was prompted by the dawn to shout, “Great is Your Faithfulness!”
The rising sun reminded the prophet of God’s promises—His lovingkindnesses. The Lord was as dependable and constant in His promises to His covenant people as the sunburst over the horizon.
Hosea understood, too, and wrote, “As surely as the sun rises, he will appear …” (HOSEA 6:3 NIV) Let morning light remind you of God’s faithfulness to you.
