Hold my hand

May 11, 2020
“For I am the Lord your God, who upholds your right hand, who says to you, ‘Do not fear. I will help you.’” -ISAIAH 41:13

When we move away from God, we move toward fear. But when we move toward God, we move away from fear. How does this operate? Picture a mother and her little girl on a shopping trip. The mom says, “Hold my hand or you can get lost in here. Stay near me.” The little girl thinks she can handle things by herself. So, she slips away from the mother and begins to wander - until she realizes she doesn’t know where she is. That is precisely what we do.

We are created by God, and we were made to hold His hand. Only when we hold His hand, and stay close to Him, will we make it through life without getting lost.
