In God’s Care

February 09, 2019
"Do not worry then, saying, 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we drink?' or 'What will we wear for clothing?' For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” -Matthew 6:31-33
Edith suffered Alzheimer’s, and was in a care facility. Daily, for years, her husband visited. Burt brought flowers, whispered in her ear, fed her, fixed her hair and even learned to give her a facial. “She doesn’t know who you are,” a nurse said. “Why do you do this?” Burt smiled. “She may not know who I am, but I know who she is. We’ve been in a covenant a long time, and I’m going to take care of her.”

The special relationship between God and His redeemed people is a covenant. He’s promised to be our Caregiver, even when we may not recognize Him.
