Lining up the lights

November 15, 2018
"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. - MATTHEW 7:21

The heart is your “decider,” but how does it know God’s will? A ship approached an obscured, narrow harbor. Rocks loomed on both sides. “How can you know where and when to turn?” asked a passenger. “I run parallel to the land, and turn when the ship is aligned with those three lights on the shore,” the captain answered.

The heart knows direction when it’s lined up with God’s three lights. The first is the beacon of the Bible, which gives the broad revelation of God’s will. Second is open and closed doors, which is trusting God to open the right doors and close the wrong portals. The third light is the witness of the Holy Spirit. If He lives in your heart, you will have inner direction, which, as noted previously, should be confirmed by external witness.

Get the Word, the doors and the Spirit’s inner witness lined up and your heart will know where and when to turn.

TODAY’S FOCUS
Determine to make no decisions until all the lights are lined up.
