Practical Atheism

I know a lot of people who profess to be Christians but are living their lives as if there were no God. They are what I call “practical atheists.” They do not take God into consideration in their thinking, their speech, their plans, and their actions.

Are you living like a practical atheist – disregarding God’s commands and precepts, relying on your own wisdom, and refusing to hope in the goodness of God the Father? Or is your belief in God evident in your speech, your deeds, and your surrender to His leadership day by day? Don’t let your life deny your belief in God. Instead, make sure your life declares your belief in Him. Yield to His leadership and direction as you move through this day, and people will know whose side you’re on.
