The Hands Reveal the Heart

May 07, 2018
…if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.  -Romans 10:9-10
Belief is housed in the heart and revealed in the hands.

I knew of a family consisting of five children. The father died and the mother became critically ill. “Sally,” a 16-year old became father and mother to her siblings. She washed, cooked, got them off to school tucked them in at night, all the while caring for her bedridden mother. This was the teen’s life, seven days a week.
“Sally, I don’t see you at church much with all the other youth,” said a busybody one day.
“I don’t get to be there like I would love to,” Sally replied.
“Then what are you going to tell God when you get to Heaven as to why you didn’t go to church?”
“I guess I’ll just show Him my hands,” the young woman answered.

No one will question the authenticity of your heart-faith when they see your hand-faith.

TODAY’S HEART FOCUS
For real balance in your spiritual life, review how much of your time is spent in “receiving” versus how much time you give in ministering to other people.
